We believe

that our homes should contain beautiful, natural and organic products. Free from the chemicals and toxins that are damaging our environment, our health and our well being.

These products should be affordable and available to everyone. We challenge those who say organic and natural products are always expensive and only for a wealthy minority.

We believe in manufacturing in the UK, creating local jobs in Cheshire and in selling directly to our customers.

If you are the kind of person who cares passionately about the products you buy for you and your family, the ingredients they contain and the way that those products are made then we hope you will consider Valentte next time you are shopping.

Thinking Time

Over the last few months, I have become intrigued by stories of people giving up their mobile phones or reverting to basic versions. These intrepid voyagers are swimming against the tide, imagine asking your 14-year-old to try this! But I feel they may be on to something big.

Heady Days

I’m in London this week for the London Fashion Weekend event at Bloomsbury Square, it’s a new show for us, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the exciting young designers. I turn 48 this year and surrounded by young businesspeople I can’t help reflecting on the passing of time.

The Eternal Optimist

One of my aims for 2020 is to improve the visual look of our products. This goal involves a move away from labels to screen-printing directly onto the glass or plastic. We are excited about the change and spent the last few weeks designing artwork.

Life Lessons

Last weekend the squirrel and I were at the Barbican for a two-day event called Life Lessons put on by The Times. Billed as a weekend of big talks from big thinkers, that encouraged us to dream of a better future.

Trombone Oil

I have an app on my phone called Feedly, which I use to follow and read a variety of blogs. Most of them publish daily content that I find useful and inspiring. The app puts all this great information in one place, so when I have a spare five minutes each day, I can open it and catch up.

Accountability Mirror

This morning, like almost every other, I got up early and listened to motivational speakers on YouTube. One of my favourite speakers is David Goggins. He is the only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy Seal, Army Ranger and Air Force tactical Controller, who went on to set numerous endurance records.

Healing the Mind

A friend of mine is going through a tough time. Yesterday we talked about the healing process after emotional trauma. She is still right in the middle of a horrible situation; however, I believe she can see the light at the end of the tunnel for which I’m happy and relieved.

The Plan

I spent yesterday afternoon at the Rugby, watching Worcester Warriors play Wasps. My partner (the squirrel) is a season ticket holder, and so I joined her in the grandstand as she shouted, cheered and sang!

Keeping It Simple

It’s been months since I last wrote this blog. It’s not easy to begin again, to pick up an old habit that I have neglected. My mind is filled with doubt, can I still write, do I have anything interesting to say. Maybe I won’t bother, watching Season 3 of The Handmaids Tale would be easier!

Running Away

I love listening to Toy Robbins speak and hope one day to hear him in person. He talks with clarity and purpose about how we can unlock our abilities and smash through roadblocks to reach our goals. His compassion always strikes me along with a genuine understanding of the pain many of us feel.
